November 11, 2017

We've decked the halls with boughs of jolly! Kick off the most wonderful time of the year by welcoming Santa, Rudolph, the elves, and more to the East Coast’s largest holiday-themed festival! Kennedy Krieger’s Festival of Trees returns to the Maryland State Fairgrounds from Friday, November 24 to Sunday, November 26, with decorated trees, a gingerbread town, shopping, endless holiday activities and non-stop entertainment for children of all ages.

Back by popular demand, Breakfast with Santa returns! Guests can share their wish lists with Santa himself on Sunday, November 26, while enjoying a delicious breakfast. Families will have a jolly good time exploring Festival before it opens to the general public.

The Festival of Trees winter wonderland will feature more than 700 community-crafted trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses designed by local artists, corporations and schools. While wandering through the holiday spectacular, festival-goers will enjoy live hourly entertainment and a visit to SantaLand. Santa’s ultimate theme park includes “reindeer” pony rides, carousel rides, carnival games, train rides, a mini petting zoo, a remote control car racetrack and more! In addition, with more than 100 gift boutiques and a silent auction, Festival of Trees is a onestop-shop to mark off everything on your holiday gift list.

Proceeds from Festival of Trees, presented by BB&T, directly benefit Kennedy Krieger Institute, appropriately marking the beginning of the holiday season by giving the gift of hope to the thousands of children treated at the Institute each year.

Attendees and Institute supporters can also start their own online Happy Holidays FUNdraising page to raise money for Kennedy Krieger. For every $13 raised to support the children and families of the Institute, supporters will receive one free ticket to Festival of Trees.
