When Carroll Hospital set out to redesign its Family Birthplace, it conducted workshops with new moms from across the region and asked them to describe their vision for the perfect childbirth center. The feedback those moms provided shaped every detail of the hospital’s $13.5 million Family Birthplace expansion and renovation, which is now complete.
The expansion’s mom-approved amenities include the Mid-Atlantic’s first Neonatal Couplet Care Suites, which are clinically proven to deliver shorter hospital stays for babies born as early as 32 weeks; certified nurse midwives and obstetricians to help you build your birth plan your way; and the region’s most spacious all-private guest suites so you can relax, recover and bond with your little one in peace. For high-risk births, there’s even a maternal-fetal team of obstetric, pediatric and anesthesiology specialists who work collaboratively before your delivery to build a 360-degree care plan for you and your baby.
