Hi Everyone,
It's been quite a week over here! Ups and downs and everything in between. We are in a new phase of parenting as our oldest just got his driver's license and started a new job. He started the new job and that same afternoon got his license. He is living his best life and I am beyond proud of him. How are we at this point in life?! The days are long but the years are short is such an accurate statement. It's a mix of emotions. I'm excited to see him flourish and thrive as he grows in his independence, but I know that this is the first step to him heading into adulthood and college is right around the corner. My days of driving him to and from school and activities has almost ended and it's bittersweet.
That same day storms ripped through the area again. I hope you all did ok and stayed safe. We lost power for quite some time. I'm grateful we were safe and didn't sustain any damage from the storms, but not thrilled that we lost so many groceries. I wasn't expecting to add that to the to do list this week.
Next week will be another big milestone in our family as my youngest will be turning 13 and we will officially have 2 teenagers in the house. We have a lot to be grateful for and to celebrate. How is it August already?
