Soundcheck Rock Academy has been providing creative and exciting summer camps for the past ten years. And this summer is no different. And this year we have space for you to experience our summer camps! We have 5 great and fun weeks of music, social media, media broadcasting, singer songwriting, 80’ themed camps!
Here are some brief descriptions of our summer camps.
Summer Camps 2021:
Social Media Influencer: July 28-June 2

Campers will be paired with peers to produce various storylines and comedy skits. They will use technology and personal devices to create, edit and post ideas for short videos. Learn how to post funny videos and pick appropriate songs to be played in the background to fit the feel of the videos! The campers will be given instruction on how to post these skits on both Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok accounts. Come join the Fun! We end the camp with a presentation of the campers work from the week.
Attack of the 80’s Video! Rock Camp: July 12-16

Campers will have the opportunity to learn about music videos from the 1980’s! They will form rock bands and pick songs to learn to perform for family and friends at the end of the week. A music video from the groups song choice will be projected behind the campers while performing the show! This is a great opportunity for beginners to advanced musicians! Drummers need drum sticks! We have the ability to provide other instruments! We end this camp with a live performance!
Media Broadcasting Camp: July 26th - 30th

Learn about the world of broadcasting! Whether it’s creating your own radio station identity, sports personality, news anchor personality or dj identities and slogans, campers will team up to create a 5-6 minute broadcasting skit with intros and outros. These students will produce their own program. They will also piece together sports action clips, share important news info and predict weekly weather forecasts! At the end of the week, these groups will showcase their broadcasting skits and news cast to families and friends. The week will end with a real news program!
Singer Songwriter Workshop Camp: August 9th - 13th

Ever wonder how the songwriting process works? Want to be a songwriter? Then this is definitely the camp for you! Break out the acoustic guitars, keyboards, ukuleles, vocal cords and more! Sit down with an experienced songwriter and learn the process in various steps. Learn different ways to start the creative songwriting process. Learn about some of the most iconic songwriters in the last few decades and how they approached writing their hits! A coffee shop open mic night will end the week!
Eternal Legends Rock Camp: August 16th- 20th

Campers will have the opportunity to learn about some of the biggest rock legends that have passed away in recent years and the impact they had on the music industry! They will form rock bands and pick songs to perform for family and friends at the end of the week at the school venue. A live concert will happen on the last day!
