My family and I were hosted at I Love Christmas Movies™ at Gaylord National Resort last weekend. We had an amazing time and I am so excited to share with you a bit about our visit and all that I Love Christmas Movies™ at Gaylord National Resort has to offer your family during this holiday season. From scenes from five favorite Christmas movies, Snow Flow Mountain, Ice Bumper Cars and much more there is something for everyone!
We started off our day looking at all of the beautiful holiday décor as we walked through the hotel. From gingerbread houses, beautiful lights and photo spots, to the Holiday Sweet Shoppe, there was so much to see. We made a mental note to stop by the Holiday Sweet Shoppe later on in the day.

Snow Flow Mountain was our next stop. Make your way up the mountain to speed down the ice slide. Even adults can join in this fun. Grab your family and race down together to see who makes it down the slide first!

Next we were able to experience scenes from 5 favorite Christmas movies in I Love Christmas Movies™. The featured films are The Polar Express™, Elf™, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation™, A Christmas Story™, and The Year Without A Santa Claus™. It's hard to say which one was our favorite. Each scene had such detail and fun special interactive effects. The tour guides made you feel like you were a real part of the set which added to the fun. My personal favorite was the smell of delicious hot chocolate in the air on the train of The Polar Express™ scene. I also enjoyed the narwhal in The Year Without A Santa Claus™ and the elf sized scene in of course, Elf™. It's so hard to narrow it down! And each of my family members would mention another detailed part they liked the best. So much fun for all ages.

Snowball Build and Blast, need I say more? We got to make our own real snowballs and toss into tubes to earn points. This was so much fun! Nothing like being warm inside and throwing real life snowballs. That was one of our favorite activities. And I must say I had better aim than I thought I would when throwing those snowballs. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we forgot to keep track of our scores!
For those of you who like to skate, head outside to the ice skating rink and enjoy a beautiful view of the Potomac. If you enjoy being a spectator grab some Hot Chocolate from inside and relax outside of the rink to watch the skaters go by.
Did I mention they have Ice Bumper Cars?! This was definitely a favorite and such a unique experience. We got to ride as the sunset which was beautiful. Once the sun went down the lights on the bumper cars added to the fun and we had a blast.

Stop by the Gift Shop and grab a holiday gift or a Christmas ornament to commemorate the event. There are so many exciting things to choose from. Even Build-a-Bear is there. With a Merry Snoopy Scavenger Hunt, The Greatest Story Stage Show, Gingerbread Decorating Corner, Mrs. Claus' Christmas Traditions, Photos With Santa. #LIT Light Show, Sugary Sweet Storytime, and Holiday Dining, there are so many fun-filled activities to fill up your heart and day.
Don't forget the Holiday Sweet Shoppe! BEST HOT CHOCOLATE EVER!!! Seriously. You need to grab some while you are there. Freshly made with chocolate shavings and whipped cream on top. I need that recipe!
