Gentle Giants was formed in 2005 to facilitate the rescue of draft and draft cross horses from slaughter, abuse, and neglect. They are the largest draft horse rescue in America located in Mount Airy, Maryland, with two farms spanning over 300 acres.  Many of their horses are rescued from auctions where it is their last chance before being sold to slaughter.
