Hi Everyone,
I hope you have been enjoying the week! My son and I walked in a 4th of July parade and then we spent some time with family. It was nice to get a pool day in after walking in the heat.
I've been trying to get out and walk in the neighborhood each day to get a little exercise and enjoy the summer weather. I have been encountering a lot of wildlife during these walks. I saw two owls next to each other in trees, too many deer to count (those are daily and never just one), tiny frogs, and a fox. I decided not to walk last night because the heat was a bit too brutal. It said the heat index was 120 today on our weather station! While I was watering my plants outside, a deer strolled on over to enjoy some grass as dinner. One of my friends calls me Snow White with all of my animal encounters. I have to say, I'm really feeling like it this week!
It's my birthday this weekend so I am looking forward to relaxing and whatever else happens to come my way. I'm going to make sure I take some time to recharge before Monday.
