Hi Everyone,
It's official, not only am I an Uber driver for my kids, I'm also filling the role of personal assistant. Now that elementary school is in the past, so many opportunities are available for both kids. I truly enjoy watching them grow and explore their many interest. But, with that comes the new challenge of so many scheduling conflicts. Gone are the days when I can just schedule them a quick appointment. Just yesterday, I had to reschedule two appointments I made (one for each of them) due to their school commitments. It is amazing how quickly things have changed.
I'm so grateful that my husband and I are able to work out our schedules to split and conquer all of the things the kids are scheduled for. As crazy as it is to schedule and juggle everything, it's nice that we are able to jump in and make it all work together. I don't know how we manage some days, but in the end it all works out. I hope you are also finding your groove in your own families for the new school year. It takes a village and believe me we all need them!
Last night I found myself in the football stands for the first time as a parent of a high schooler! I blinked and time flew by. Watching my son take the field as a member of the marching band brought back many memories of my own high school days. Friday nights are for football again.
