What a week! I have some advice when it comes to parenting. Expect the unexpected. It doesn't matter how much you plan or how on top of things you are, in one moment something with one of your kids could change the course very quickly. I'm not going to go into details, but even something as simple as working on choreography for a dance can put a whole twist on life for a while. All is good, we just had some unexpected this past week.
That being said, Halloween was so different in my family this year. For the first time, both of my kids had separate plans and we split and conquered the evening. I had a fun night, but I missed seeing both of them in their full costumes and going out. Such is the life of a parent with a teen and preteen. SOOOOO much has changed! You think you see it coming, but you really don't until it actually happens. Time is a thief!
I hope all of your kiddos enjoyed their Halloween fun and all of your traditions. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll actually get to enjoy that extra hour, but I'm going to try and fit in an hour to relax somehow.
