Macaroni KID Columbia-Ellicott City-Western Howard is excited to announce our 5th Annual Spread the Light to bring joy and kindness to our community is coming to you the week of December 8th with hopes to spread light throughout the end of the year.
I am so excited to announce that 50 subscribers will be selected to win and pick up 1 Spread the Light bag the week of December 8th to end this year on a positive note. Macaroni KID Columbia has partnered with some AMAZING local businesses who want to help Spread the Light throughout our community too!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Let’s help spread some winter cheer by "Spreading Light, Joy, and Kindness" to local families and start the “Pay It Forward” movement throughout the month (each family will be encouraged to "Spread the Light" for at least 1-2 more families)… think of the joy we can spread throughout Howard County and Catonsville with our Spread the Light Effect! Macaroni KID Columbia will make 50 Spread the Light Bags to kick off the fun. We will be "Spreading the Light" to 50 local families and starting the “Pay It Forward” movement throughout the month of December. Each winning family will receive one Spread the Light bags... and will make and deliver their own bag to another local family.
HOW CAN YOU SPREAD THE LIGHT?
Beginning on November 16, 2024, Sign Up to Receive a Spread the Light bag for your family! We will be choosing 50 families by random drawing, so there are LOTS of chances to win! Pick up is the week of December 8th and we will notify you by email if you are selected to receive a bag.
If you pick up a Spread the Light bag....
- Enjoy your treat ~ you have received the light of kindness and joy at your house!
- Tell about your surprise using #MKSPREADTHELIGHT
- Place the "Spread the Light" sheet on your front door/window to let everyone know that you have received the light at your house.
- Secretly make and deliver a second bag to a family's home who have not received the light to continue the pay it forward spreading the light effect!
GUESS WHAT! You don't have to receive a bag to give one! Start the trend in your neighborhood and give out a couple of gift bags that your family creates.

RULES: This contest will run from Saturday, November 16, 2024 through Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 11:59AM. FIFTY winners will be selected from all eligible entries for pick up the week of December 8th. Winners will receive one bag, and will have 48 hours to make and deliver one bag to a family who has not yet received one. You MUST be a subscriber to Macaroni KID Columbia-Ellicott City-Western Howard and 18 or older to enter. If you are not a subscriber and enter the contest, you will be automatically subscribed.
